Progress toward sustainability is urgent, and the EH-IMACS project needs outside help to move from scientific development and communication toward broader review, organizational setup, technical development, and early implementation.
Stay informed; People who want to follow the project may sign up to receive occasional project updates when there is substantive news to report, such as changes in patent status, peer-reviewed EH-IMACS publications, and notable outside reviews or media coverage. How to Help: If you would like to help, please use the Contact Us page and state your main area of expertise or the type of support you are offering in the subject line. If you would like to receive occasional project updates when substantive news is available, please indicate that in your message as well.
Pre-Funding Stage
At the current pre-funding stage, the most useful support is volunteer, advisory, or pro bono help in a limited number of areas that can materially improve the project’s readiness, rigor, visibility, and organizational foundation.
Pro Bono Legal and Organizational Support
- Review and update website legal and policy language where needed.
- Advise on organizational structure, governance, and the relationship between for-profit and charitable entities.
- Evaluate priority jurisdictions for early organizational development.
- Help assess how and where early charitable or related entities should be formed
Communications and Outreach Support
- Simplify and strengthen website text.
- Improve website usability, search visibility, and communication flow.
- Help set up and manage a simple occasional project-update or newsletter capability for followers.
- Assist with volunteer-led social-media outreach on platforms such as Facebook, X, and others.
- Assist with translation and language editing for additional major languages.
Scientific Community Support
- Review key calculation models, assumptions, and supporting materials.
- Proofread, edit, and critically review scientific manuscripts and related explanatory material.
- Help identify or organize expert reviewers and advisers across environmental and human-condition subject areas.
General Funding Stage
Future Implementation and Funding Needs
Once additional funding becomes available, EH-IMACS will also need financial support for infrastructure and implementation tasks that cannot reasonably be carried out on a purely volunteer basis.
- Hosting, website maintenance, and search-visibility work.
- A second-generation improved website with stronger database functionality.
- Communication, outreach, volunteer coordination, social-media support, and modest project-update or newsletter capability.
- Contract work, including scientific and other specialist tasks.
- Small-scale field testing and pilot activities.
- Hiring of staff members and, when needed, workspace costs.
- Software development for the modules needed for implementation.
- Implementation-stage costs before sufficient operating revenues exist.
- Trademark protection and patent-prosecution expenses.
